Today at church we soaked in the Love of the Father. As we sang How He Loves Us, I kept thinking of that first line: He is Jealous for me.... He is Jealous for ME. What is taking up my time and attention that He is jealous for me? He wants to spend every minute of every day with us. He's always there, waiting. Unlike a jealous lover He isn't mean or brash. He instead waits for us, eagerly like the Father waited for the Prodigal son to return to Him. He is full of mercy, full of love, full of grace, and as the song says: I don't have time to maintain all these regrets when I think about the way He loves us. So no, I won't dwell on all the time I didn't spend with Him. I won't dwell on when my attention wasn't focused on Him, instead I will reflect on His great love...I pray that all who would read this would have a fresh revelation of His love. Here is the version of the song that I like by Kim Walker Smith.

Good blog point, Tina. That line has always caught my attention as well. And I love the Kim Walker version also.
